Good Night from Chicago. Finally!
Bulls up 1 in the 3rd Overtime and it came down to point guard versus point guard. The rookie of the year, Derrick Rose came up with the block of the year against Rajon Rondo’s jumper.
Chicago wins 128 to 127.
In this game Paul Pierce, Kindred Perkins, Big Baby, Ben Gordon all fouled out and Ray Allen, who fouled out in game 4, only had 1 foul. Ray’s clutch shots and 51 points in the game couldn’t save the Celtics this time. With the 7th overtime of the series the Bulls and Celtics have not disappointed basketball fanatics, they have given us the most exciting series of the round; I forget we’re only in the first round.
I cannot finish this post without mentioning two things: Jesse Jackson was at the game tonight somewhere in the 100 section and Joakim Noah had a terrific one handed dunk giving Paul Pierce his 6th foul. The crowd was all too happy to sing “Hit the Road Jack and don’t you come back, no more, no more.” Not only did Noah dunk on “The Truth”, the big man showed us he can run! Run, Noah, Run.
Game 7 will be on Saturday back in Boston. I can’t wait!
